Yellow Brick Estates were granted planning permission to construct a five-story hotel with 40 rooms two minutes from Woolwich Arsenal Station. Woolwich's residential zones outside of the Town Centre will benefit from a more diverse housing stock and changes in the town centre, including enhanced accessibility and a broader choice of businesses and facilities. The Woolwich states (Connaught, Morris Walk, and Maryon Road) will be redeveloped, enhancing housing quality and people' living conditions. Woolwich's prominence as a transport hub will grow as it builds on its current DLR connections and prepares for the arrival of a Crossrail station in 2018.
